Risk Management Services
Risk Management
MARS offers a variety of consulting, training, emergency, and risk management services for festivals, corporate clients, volunteer organizations, and nonprofits. We work with you to review your organizational needs and we tailor each assessment to your unique circumstances.
Emergency Management
Mutual Aid Risk & Safety can support your organization in liaising with government and public safety agencies, as well as coordinating vendors who provide communications, medical, security, harm reduction, and safety services. This support can include auditing existing emergency action plans, staff training, staffing emergency operation command posts, and developing new disaster, severe weather or contingency plans. MARS can provide a turnkey solution to provide Emergency Management functions for your organization should you not have internal resources, or can function as a consultant to help your organization develop its own internal resources.
Risk Management
MARS can work in conjunction with your insurance company to do risk assessments and hazard mitigation for temporary mass gatherings, events, festivals and their support infrastructure. Typically we provide both you and your insurance company a report on the notable and positive mitigation strategies and procedures in effect with the goal of lowering your insurance premiums as well as your risk for lawsuits. Additional risk management services includes site safety services, third party post-incident investigations, compliance reviews, as well as developing policy and procedure.
Penetration Testing
An additional risk management service includes physical penetration testing, where your venue and security procedures are tested and evaluated. A penetration test, also known as a pen test, or ethical hacking, is more commonly known for cybersecurity testing but is also used to assess real world security. It’s an authorized simulated attempt to bypass or defeat a venue’s security barriers and procedures, performed to evaluate the security of the venue. The test is performed to identify both vulnerabilities, including the potential for unauthorized individuals to gain access to secure areas, as well as strengths, enabling a full risk assessment to be completed.
Training
Mutual Aid Risk & Safety has developed several unique tools that give non-medical personnel a quick and easy training for how to handle medical incidents and other safety issues. It’s currently integrated into a National Institute of Health funded project to train staff and enhance venue operations. For more details on if these tools are right for your organization please contact us and we’ll review it with you in more detail. Additionally we are available to help develop curriculum, deliver training, exercises or facilitated learning.
